May I take this Dance?

He asked me:

"May I take this dance?"

I replied with a small smile:

"Yes, you may."

He merely smiled at me and guided me onto the dance floor.

"Please let me hold you till Midnight."

Was his whispered request. I shuddered slightly in his warm embrace.

"Afraid that I should suddenly leave?"

He hugs me tightly, his breath is warm against my ear. The music was serene and sweet and soft. The cry of the violin and the gentle timbre of the piano. He looks away.

"My love... It would break my heart if I had to search for you, if you did so leave..."

I smile gently and turn his head to face me.

"I shan't be going anywhere. Unless you catch me."

I laugh and spin out of his embrace, my skates making soft swishing noise on the ice. He smirks, as always up for a challenge.

I don't make it easy, weaving in and out of other dancers. In the end he catches me, both of us are slightly out of breath. I smile up at him and he grins cheekily down at me, his blue eyes sparkling with triumph.

"Alright Everyone! 10 seconds to Midnight!!!"

I look over to the shout, one of my friends, she looks a bit tipsy, her partner is busy holding her up on the ice.

"COUNTDOWN!"

Another person calls back, the music stops and so does everyone else.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5,"

The chant begins and we join in,

4, 3... 2... 1!!!"

The sky is lit up with billions of bright colour, flares of red and flowers of white and blue and pink, yellow stars and orange fountains, purple streamers and sparks of red and green.

He kisses me.

When we pull apart I feel myself crying with happiness.

"Merry Christmas."

He kisses me again.

"And a Happy New Year."

He finishes for me. I chuckle and ruffle his hair, that's him. My best friend, my rival, my enemy, my lover.

never doing Ice Skates again its a killer. i mean the proportions and perspective is kinda difficult for me. *fails at hands and shoes*

It was a brainwave and i liked it so i drew it and so yeh.

I think as you all know Gary is a Umbreon here cuz of his characteristic markings ^w^

Ash... well im not sure what he is... I think he was supposed to be a Vaporeon

But i think it looks more like Butterfree or Milotic or Lumieon.

But lets just say hes a Vaporeon. I did want to do him as a Pikachu but... how to do his outfit without it looking too yellow and weird?

cuz i think Ice Dancers wear the most beautiful outfits and they always SWIRL!

so Vaporeon fit most cuz its part of the eevee evolution family so why not?

got lazy with my background AS USUAL! but i never tend to care about backgrounds. its tedious cuz i can never think of a background that would compliment the picture itself.

cuz if you do a too good a backgrounds and stick it with ur real pic then no one knows whether to look at the background more or the main focus of the pic.
